The New England First Amendment Coalition can now be found at nefac.org, a new web address that better reflects the organization and its commonly used acronym.

The previous domain, nefac.org, will continue to be active during the transition. All resources provided on the NEFAC website and links to those pages will continue to be accessible and available for the public.

“The public still has the same access to NEFAC’s valuable online resources,” said Justin Silverman, NEFAC’s executive director. “The only change is an upgrade to our domain name and a more memorable URL.”

Visitors to nefac.org can find the latest coalition news and blog posts. Resources such as amicus briefs, newsletters and conference materials can also be found at the site, among other First Amendment and right-to-know information.

NEFAC was formed in 2006 to advance and protect the Five Freedoms of the First Amendment, including the principle of the public’s right to know. We’re a broad-based organization of people who believe in the power of an informed democratic society. Our members include lawyers, journalists, historians, academics and private citizens.

Our coalition is funded through contributions made by those who value the First Amendment and who strive to keep government accountable. Please make a donation here.

Major Supporters of NEFAC for this year include the Barr Foundation, The Providence Journal Charitable Legacy Fund, The Robertson Foundation, Lois Howe McClure, The Boston Globe and Boston University. Celebration Supporters include The Hartford Courant and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
